RABBI'S MESSAGE

A very special Mazel Tov to all of our members who completed Maseches Yoma last week, as part of the Daf Yomi cycle. One of the psukim found in the parsha of “Shma” which we recite thrice daily, and which is found in this week’s Parsha,  is “V’shinantem Levanecha V'dibarta Bam”, instructing us to teach Torah to our children, and to speak words of Torah to them. The Chasam Sofer zt”l comments that the order of these directives teach us that the only way our children will internalize Torah and desire to connect to it, is if they see their parents setting the example through their own learning of Torah.  It is not enough to instruct our children to learn and embrace Torah, we must model for them, by showing our own love and commitment for Torah learning.

Good Shabbos!

-I will be out of the office until August 24th, please contact Rabbi Sharbat for any matters which are urgent or time sensitive.
