RABBI'S MESSAGE

A man randomly visited the town of Gur during the “Three Weeks”, and went to visit the Sfas Emes zt”, the Gerrer Rebbe.  The Rebbe asked him what the occasion was for his visit to the town. The man responded that it was his family cusom to travel the roads during this period in order to connect to the destruction of the Bais Hamikdash and the exile of Hashem’s Shechina. The Sfas Emes responded that one must be reminded during this time that we too, are not at home.  As the month of Av begins,we try to make this period as relevant as possible to our lives.

-As we continue to get back to our normal lives, this Shabbos we express our Hakaras Hatov to the members of our community who were of exceptional assistance and support throughout the pandemic.  As we emerge from this difficult period, we celebrate the special shul community that we live in.
