    Congregation AABJ&D Youth Department is alive and going strong, catering to close to 500 children from toddlers to High School seniors. Our programs reinforce Torah values through fun and dynamic activities , and service a wide range of ages and interests. 
     

    Join us for weekly Shabbat programs, special holiday-related events, our FAMOUS MishMash program, challah baking, weekly gym night, movie nights, Shabbatons, Learnathon, Silly Olympics and much more.....

     CUB SCOUTS:   Tigers, Wolves, Bears, and Webelos. This is not a line from a book and movie about wicked witches and Munchkins.  It describes the levels a boy passes through as he advances in Cub Scouts.  

     

    Cub Scout Pack 446 is affiliated with Congregation AABJ&D.  The Cub Scouts meet approximately two Sunday mornings a month for about an hour during the school year to participate in fun and educational activities to satisfy advancement requirements. If your son is interested in joining the Cub Scouts, please contact Josh Cantor, Reuben Ehrlich, or Stuart Rosenblum.

    Day at Turtle Back Zoo - Sunday, October 25, 2009
    With over 120 people in attendance, the AABJ&D Youth Department/Nursery School Day at the Zoo was quite a success! Members of the shul and their friends gathered at the Turtle Back Zoo on a marvelous Sunday afternoon. Dr. Jeremy Goodman, the director of the zoo and a member of our synagogue, gave two fantastic presentations about Noach’s life on the Ark, as the very first zookeeper there ever was. He brought ferrets, turtles, fish, and even hissing cockroaches to show the children, all two by two! The older children enjoyed a Tanach scavenger hunt throughout the zoo, while the younger children participated in a Noah’s ark art project.
     

    "Five Below" Youth Fundraiser
    Earn 10% back towards the youth department at AABJ&D with every purchase at "Five Below" in East Hanover. Whether you're buying packages for Mishloach Manot, birthday party favors or school supplies, each dollar you spend helps fund Shul activities for children. 
     
    How does it work? 

    - Simply click here.
    Print the form and bring it with you to the store. Hand it to the cashier as you make your purchses, and you're done. The Shul will get 10% back at the end of the year!


    - Forgot to print the form?  No problem.  Simply tell the cashier that you are associated with AABJ&D.  S/he will call the manager to the front to make sure that the purchase is recorded in our account. This may take a minute or two, so it's always better to come prepared if you know, in advance, that you will be shopping. 
     
    This is a program that can make a significant contribution to the youth department with very little effort on your part.  Please remember to shop Five Below and to mention this fundraiser.
