3rd Annual Discover West Orange Shabbaton

Shabbat, April 23-24, 2010

A special Shabbat for families interested in potentially making West Orange their new home.

You've outgrown your appartment and are now considering a move to the "burbs"!!!!
Join us for a unique opportunity to check out one of the friendliest, most vibrant, full-service, Modern Orthodox communities in the tri-state area, a dynamic community that's large enough to offer top schools, kosher restaurants and all types of services, but small enough to allow a warmth and sense of closeness among its members, young and old.

If you are looking for a community and would like to learn about what West Orange has to offer — this event is for you! Spread the word around  - tell your friends and relatives who are also in the market— invite them to join us on this Special Shabbat.   Call us at (973) 736-1407 or email us at cong.aabjd@verizon.net  to let us know that you are coming!

The event will feature:
· Shabbat Hospitality.
· Shabbat dinner at various homes.
· Organized activities for children
· Shabbat lunch with community members.

Here is what past participants have to say:

"Our first time in West Orange was during the initial Discover West Orange Shabbaton. We were blown away with everyone’s friendliness, sincerity and their acceptance of all Jews.   West Orange is beautiful
and still offers affordable housing, all whilst being in a great, frum community. The great location was an important feature for us as we both still work in NY and have family up and down the East Coast.
Within a year of attending the Discover West Orange Shabbaton, we had moved here ourselves – and we couldn’t be happier. We definitely recommend people come to this fun and informative weekend"

The Discover WO Shabbaton was a great introduction to AABJ&D and the neighborhood. We came last year on the shabbaton, while we were exploring multiple different suburbs, and ended up choosing to live here. We highly recommend West Orange for anyone seeking a warm, friendly community.

Living in Forest Hills for the first 8 years of our marriage, my wife and I formed some very close friendships that we know will last forever. With that in mind, we were nervous that making the move to a house and a new community would be a big change. We were worried that we had been spoiled and that we would never find in a new community like what we had before. We came to the “Discover West Orange” Shabbat last year and fell in love. The people were so warm and down to earth, we knew West Orange was for us. We now live here with our 2 children and couldn’t be happier. The people that we met at the Shabbat lunch are now our good friends and we’ve become close with so many others since we made the move. What’s even more exciting to us are the friendships that our kids have made in such a short period of time. It’s cool to see them with their new friends and know that these are the friends that they will grow up with and, G-d willing, keep for the rest of their lives.
