Welcome by Rabbi Zwickler

Traditionally, since the time of the Churban, the shul has served as the center of the Jewish community.  When it comes to our shul, this statement is true for all ages.  We have a most exciting youth program which encourages the interest and delight of our children who feel that the shul is their "second home".

The Mishna in Pirkei Avos teaches us that the world stands on three pillars: Torah, Avodah and Gemilus Chasadim.  Our shul was founded on, and continues to thrive, by aspiring to fulfill these three principles.  First and foremost, our shul is a Makom Torah, a place of Torah learning with many classes, ranging from Beginners' Talmud to Daf Yomi, from Tanach to a Hebrew Reading Crash Course and from Pirkei Avos to Chevra Shas.  Our Bais Medrash is always open.  In addition, we have brought Talmud Torah to the community by successful Leil Limuds on Friday nights during the winter months.

A shul is not a shul unless it is a Makom Tefillah.  Our shul hosts three daily Shacharis minyanim as well as a Mincha/Maariv minyan and late Maariv.  On Shabbos, we have five minyanim, as well as an energetic Teen minyan, and a Sephardic minyan held in our beautiful Sephardic shul.

I often refer to our shul community as an extended family.  As a shul, we are always glad to share the most wonderful moments in life with others and to support each other in times of need.  The warmth of our shul is felt each Shabbos when we all join together for our weekly kiddush after davening.  The shul is indeed the center of our community and the home of our spiritual interaction with Hashem.
