SOFTBALL UPDATE !!!!    July 15, 2010

The Grey Shirts looked to get to a winning streak going taking on Pine Brook… oug drew first blood with a single to drive in Josh E. In the 3rd, Josh K hit into a F-C but Jerry came all the way around to score. Josh E smacked a single into right for a ribbie. He would later score thanks to an E-4. In the 4th, it was Doni, Jerry and Greg with ribbie singles for 3 more runs. In the 5th, P/B finally came around and notched up 4 of their own including a homer. The boys also scored in their half of the frame. Jay hit a screaming double into left driving in Ariel. Doug chugged it around the bases thanks to a Sac by Jeff. After 5, 9-4 AABJD. In the 6th, the boys had some fun. Doni went deep into center for a solo homer! Greg drove in his 2nd run. Josh K hit a single over the middle for a ribbie. With 2 outs, Doug put the ball into left for a ribbie. Dovid finally made noise of his own for a ribbie single. Jeff came through with his 2nd ribbie of the game. Joel completed the 2 out rally with a line drive into right. After 6, 17-4 AABJD. With 2 outs and 2 men on, the game ends on a liner to Josh K and Put It In The Books! The Valley Boys win this one 17-4 MVP is Doni with his homer and 2 ribbie day; but kudos to Greg and Jerry who both went 3 for 3, had key hits, and drove in 2 runs each.
