Shifra Rabenstein, granddaugher of Rabbi Alvin and Marylin Marcus, received her BA in Judaic Studies from Stern College and a Masters degree in School Administration from John Hopkins University. She currently teaches at the Maalot Seminary and Bais Yaakov high School in Baltimore. She is also a lecturer at the Frieda K. Hirmes Women's Institute of Torah, a facility for ongoing adult education, and a visiting lecturer in communities across the country. She resides with her husband and three children in Baltimore.
